- Built an automated PII detection and redaction system for PDFs with a 3-person Python team. Dual-mode processing handled both text PDFs (PyMuPDF) and scans (Google Document AI OCR), with regex pattern recognition for SSNs, bank and card numbers and precise bounding-box redaction. Designed the token-based data architecture and an automated workflow producing timestamped originals, redactions, detection reports and audit trails. Benchmarked Google Document AI against AWS Textract, Azure Form Recognizer, Tesseract and PaddleOCR, selecting Google on cost at scale and accuracy.
