about
My fascination with computers started when I was 10. When I wasn't outside I was on my computer messing around with almost any piece of software or website I could get my hands on. At 14, I sold a lot of my video games, my PS4, and worked a summer job and built my PC.
Shortly after, I picked up Photoshop and Premiere and began making avatars, banners, and YouTube videos/thumbnails. Since then I have experimented with a lot of different languages and technologies.
I went to a community college majoring in CS before transferring to IU Bloomington to pursue a B.S. in informatics. Both of those opened a whole new world to me when I learned I could do both design and software engineering (maybe even merge the two). Now, I'm using both of those and working on projects and designing concurrently because at this point it's what feels natural to me and it scratches that weird part of my brain.
Right now I'm finishing that B.S. and working as a teaching assistant for INFO-I308 at IU.
Outside of design, engineering, and informatics, I'm usually:
- reading about space and aerospace
- lifting and running
- hiking
- spending time with friends
- spending time annoying my cats

Lead the club’s visual identity and campaign work in Photoshop and the wider Adobe Creative Cloud, from event promotion through to recruitment material.
Represent Adobe on campus, running sessions on Creative Cloud tooling and connecting students with resources for design work.
Grew Simplify’s presence on campus, helping students streamline internship applications and tracking.
Built parts of a machine-learning pipeline predicting HIV drug resistance: parsed HIVDB ASI XML into synthetic mutation datasets, integrated phenotype and clinical data for validation, and handled preprocessing, feature engineering and evaluation with a focus on reproducibility. Wrote the script comparing our predictions against HIVdb’s own, reaching 80–96% accuracy across antiretroviral drugs.
Built and deployed a Next.js full-stack app with 40% faster load times and a Mapbox-powered quote calculator that cut manual prep by 50%. Added a JWT-authenticated admin dashboard with REST APIs, file uploads, revenue tracking and lead contact details, saving 5–10 hrs a week. Integrated Google Analytics and set up their Google Business presence, taking the site from 0 to ~80 visits a month. Lighthouse: 96 accessibility, 96 best practices, 100 SEO on desktop.

Built an automated PII detection and redaction system for PDFs with a 3-person Python team. Dual-mode processing handled both text PDFs (PyMuPDF) and scans (Google Document AI OCR), with regex pattern recognition for SSNs, bank and card numbers and precise bounding-box redaction. Designed the token-based data architecture and an automated workflow producing timestamped originals, redactions, detection reports and audit trails. Benchmarked Google Document AI against AWS Textract, Azure Form Recognizer, Tesseract and PaddleOCR, selecting Google on cost at scale and accuracy.
